Does it work on Windows Version 'X'?
We've tried to test the program on as many systems as possible (from Windows 95 to XP); however, there is always a chance that an operating system incompatibility exists. We recommend you download the demo program and try it on yours - this will let you see if the program works for you (and does what you want) before buying.

I've bought it, but I can't find where to unlock it.
Unlocking the program is straightforward. From the demo program you downloaded, go to the Settings panel, and use the Register button. The information to enter is in your RegNow receipt, with the 'Your license name is:' entry as the first item, and 'Your license code is:' as the second. From then on, the program should be unlocked.

Do I have to uninstall first before upgrading or reinstalling?
It's not necessary, but remember to shut down Rocket Retriever before the install. Since it normally starts with Windows, it will be in the background - simply call it up, and click on the close button in the top right (the 'X'). From there, the install should go fine.

Can I select what drives or directories I want scanned?
You can limit the drives from the settings dialog (the 'Directories' panel). Add or remove drives and directories from there to customize your scanning.

The program has complained about the clock - what do I do?
Unfortunately, the security for the demo version of Rocket Retriever sometimes gets confused when the clock on a computer is set back. Contact us directly about a temporary fix for it. Note the problem only exists in the demo, not the fully functional version.

What support for networking is there?
By default, Rocket Retriever does not scan networked drives. To enable network scanning, you first need to map the necessary network drives, and then enable network scanning in the Scanning/Startup section of Rocket Retriever's settings panel.

There's a bug/feature missing.
We welcome all feature requests and bug reports - it's the best way to make Rocket Retriever as useful as possible. So keep those reports coming in!
